NFS Hot Pursuit Car Profiles: Koenigsegg CCXR Edition

CCXR Burnout!
If you thought the Koenigsegg CCX was fast, check out its much more expensive and exclusive big brother, the CCXR edition. Only the true masters of speed can drive this, which is why Koenigsegg only made 4 of these in real life, each costing over $1.8 million. Under the hood is your standard Koenigsegg CCX engine; a 4.7-liter Twin-Supercharged V8 with a new output of 1018 horsepower! That's strange because this car was meant to run on E85 Biofuel. That's 17 more horses than the fastest targa in the world, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. Unfortunately, it's not faster than the Veyron. The Veyron reaches 60 MPH from 0 in 2.5 seconds. The CCXR reaches 60 MPH from 0 in 2.8 seconds. Even with more horsepower, the Veyron is still the fastest. Nonetheless, this Koenigsegg is still pretty cool. The entire body, including the rear wing, is made of carbon fiber for lightness and durability. This is all cool, but does it work?

Highway Speed
In one word: Yes! That massive Twin-Supercharged engine is planted in the middle of the car giving you maximum control in the drifts and corners. And, since it's so powerful, expect your eyes to pop out of your sockets due to the immense speed you'll experience when cruising along the highway. The top speed of this car is 250 MPH, but, with the nitrous topped out, you should reach 257 MPH, almost as fast as a Veyron SuperSport. You may have noticed, I've mentioned the Veyron many times. This is only because it's this car's closest rival. Ever since it was released, the Veyron has topped the leaderboards for fastest car in the world. Koenigsegg have tried many times to dethrone the Veyron, but, all have been unsuccessful. Anyway, this particular Koenigsegg should be fast enough to outrun your friends and evade the cops.

Swedish Jet
Speed isn't the only reason why I love this car. In the corners, this car handles them a little better than the Veyron Grand Sport. Then again, you have to be a serious driver to handle this car. There was an episode of Top Gear where the Stig tried to tame a Koenigsegg CCX. It nearly killed him. Go here to see what I'm on about. Anyway, you really have to be a mental racer to handle one of these. Otherwise, this car is phenomenal in the corners. Even at high speeds, this car handles corners like they're nothing. It's unbelievable!

Admire the road
The CCXR edition is a brilliant car with brilliant features to match. In order to handle this car properly, make sure you brake significantly before entering a corner. Maintain a good drift by letting off the gas a little bit. If you do this, you'll get the true feel of this awesome Swedish brilliance!
