Mad Spyder

2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante
What do you get when you combine a Gallardo Spyder with an LP570-4 Superleggera? Well, here's your answer. This is the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, revealed this week at the LA Auto Show. If you liked the LP570-4 Superleggera, you might love this one. It has all the specs of the Superleggera: a 5.2-liter V10 pumping out 570 horsepower and Lamborghini all-wheel drive. The only difference is that there's a little less performance, as always, with this droptop. The Superleggera hit 60 MPH from 0 in 3.4 seconds. This Spyder Performante does it 0.5 seconds slower. The Superleggera has a top speed of 205 MPH. This one: only up to 201 MPH. Why? Why else? Any faster and your face will come off. It might not be as fast as its hardtop brother, but it definitely looks good. And compared to the regular LP560-4 spyder, it is actually good. This is 140 pounds lighter and changes gear a little bit faster than it. Prices have not been announced yet, but expect it to be very expensive.
