Mercedes' Birthday Present

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster
A couple days ago, Mercedes-Benz celebrated its 125th birthday. As a birthday present, today, the company officially pulled back the covers of the all new SLK Roadster at the museum in Stuttgart, Germany. As you can see, this is a very good looking car, due to the fact the most of the design was taken from the SLS AMG. When it comes out this summer, you'll have a choice of two models: the SLK350 with a 3.5-liter 302 horsepower V6 engine, or the SLK250 with a 1.8-liter 201 horsepower turbo-4 engine, but that one will come at a later time. One of the biggest accomplishments with this car is the all new Magic Sky Control System in which changes the color of the clear glass roof when you're driving along. Prices have not been announced yet, but they might be at Geneva, in which the car will make its global debut.

A Man's Machine

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Sport
This is the all-new Mercedes-Benz SLK, and all though it might look like a women's convertible, it presses all the right buttons making it one for the men. First off, its new 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 302 horsepower, making it very powerful, and we men love power. 0 to 60 is done in 5.0 seconds on its way to a limited top speed of 155 MPH. We men love speed as well. And, since it's small, it's also very lightweight making it good in the corners. We men love gripping cars, so that's okay. It's also quite affordable, starting at under $40,000, and we men love cheap things. So, if you think that this car is girly, don't be fooled. Mercedes created this car in such a way that men can enjoy it as well. Here's a clip of the car being kitted out on a racetrack.

Elegance With the Top Down

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Sport
Say hello to the all new Mercedes-Benz SLK-class. From the face of it, it looks rather sexy. This is because since 2005, the SLK has borrowed the design from Mercedes' top supercar. From that time, it was the SLR McLaren. This time, its the SLS AMG. I have to admit: such styling just fits with this car. It looks incredible. It performs incredibly as well. This SLK350 Sport that you see here is powered by a 3.5-liter 302 horsepower V6 engine. 0 to 60 is done in 5.4 seconds and the top speed is limited to 140 MPH. There will be an entry SLK250 with a 201 horsepower 1.8-liter turbo-4 engine as well as a monstrous SLK55 AMG with Mercedes' all new 5.5-liter Naturally Aspirated V8 engine. Not to mention the car has this awesome "Magic Sky" Panoramic roof that dims itself with the touch of the button. The car will make its official debut at Geneva after its launch at Stuttgart where the company will celebrate its 125th anniversary. Check out the video below to see the car in action.
