Diamond is the new Black

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Black Diamond Edition
If you thought the Cadillac CTS-V couldn't get anymore luxurious as it as comfortable and fast, well, think again. The dudes at Cadillac have just unveiled this ultra-luxurious CTS-V Black Diamond Edition. This special package will be available on all models of the CTS-V: Coupe, Sedan, and Wagon. So, what do you do to make the fastest Sedan/Wagon/Coupe in the world more luxurious? Well, for starters, hows about putting a 3-coat layer of black metallic paint and showering it with flakes of aluminum that has been enclosed in magnesium fluoride. This gives the car a more black-shiny look, a big luxury #1 in the Luxury handbook. Then, change the paint of the 19-inch sport rims to Satin Graphite and give it yellow Brembo brake calipers to give it a more sporty and aggressive look.

Drinks-globe luxury
As for the interior, hows about re-stitching those beautifully comfortable Recaro seats with some microfiber suede. Then, as a finish, add some Midnight Saepele Wood Accents all around the cabin of the car. Put this all together, and you have yourselves a $70,000 well-tailored drivable tuxedo. Now that price may sound like a lot but compared to most expensive exotics who do these kinds of things, this is actually 4x times less than, let's say, a Ferrari 458 Italia Black Diamond Edition, if they ever do one, that is. So this is the bargain of the century.

CTS-V Racer

2012 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe SCCA Racer
The Detroit Auto Show starts next Monday and Cadillac have already prepared their debut model: a race car. The CTS-V Coupe has been modified for SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) purposes. No word on the exact specs of the car yet, but I've been informed that it has been lightened, more powerful, and is much faster. This racer will hit the track in March and the NAIAS show floor on January 10th.

First Loss of the Year

2010 Cadillac SRX Turbo
I am sad to report that Cadillac has killed off the SRX Turbo. If you don't remember what this car was, you'll probably remember seeing it in an ad while 1901 by Grammy-Winning French band Phoenix was playing.

This car had the famous 2.8-liter 300 horsepower Turbocharged V6 engine that Saab also uses on the all new 9-5 and 9-4X. It was a great car, but unfortunately it wasn't doing well in the sales. In fact, there were more standard SRX sales than Turbo SRX in its first year. So, we bid adieu to the Turbocharged SRX. Now, you can get the standard SRX with the 3.0-liter 265 horsepower V6 engine for $33,830.

CTS-V Ad Frenzy!

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe
If you were watching the Rose Bowl on Saturday, you would've noticed a couple of ads about two very special Caddies. They both have been hailed as the best the brand could make and they both have the same 6.2-liter Supercharged V8 engine. If you haven't guessed it by now, you weren't really watching the Rose Bowl on Saturday. But, nevertheless, Cadillac released two new ads displaying the CTS-V Sedan and Coupe in all their splendor. If you haven't seen them or want to see them again, check them out below.
