NFS Hot Pursuit Car Profiles: Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

2010 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
This is the fastest car in the game. It also makes its official gaming debut in this game. It's true that there are a lot of games with the mighty Bugatti Veyron in it, but there hasn't been a game made with the Veyron's droptop brother, the Grand Sport. Don't get me wrong. This is a Veyron. Under the hood is your standard Veyron 8-liter Quad-Turbocharged W16 engine producing 1001 horsepower. 0 to 60 is reached in 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 253 MPH. Even with no hardtop, this car is a scientific marvel.

Up Position
Now that Need For Speed has incorporated automatic features into this game, this car really comes to life. First off, you'll notice the hydraulic rear spoiler, which has three positions: the Up position (as seen above) for more downforce giving you more traction at 140 MPH,

Aerodynamic Position
this aerodynamic position giving you more aerodynamics and speed when over 200 MPH,

Airbrake
and this airbrake position giving you more braking force when you want to slow down. This position is the most important one. When you're speeding along Three Points Road at 255 MPH, and you're coming up to a sharp turn, you'll need this to decrease speed. This car handles like something I've never seen before. Compared to the Koenigsegg CCXR, this is slightly heavier, so you can cause more damage to cop cars around you. But, the strange thing is, it's doesn't feel that heavy. Bugatti have incorporated new technologies and tune-ups to make this car corner and drift as if it were lighter. Did it work?

Bugatti Drifting
Oh yeah! This car feels just as light and nimble as a Koenigsegg CCXR. It's uncanny! Thanks to Bugatti's partnership with Volkswagen, the Germans have added all-wheel drive to this car for stabilization when driving at high speeds. This is also true in the corners. When braking, this car comes alive and does all sorts of things only a complete genius could understand.

Picturesque
This is a brilliant car. No wonder Top Gear chose this car as the Top Gear car of the decade. It just defies everything thanks to pure German engineering. It is the fastest car in the world, and it's also the most expensive valued at over $2.1 million. It doesn't matter though. You can truly see why this car is so great when playing this game.
