Tokyo King of Speed

2012 Nissan GTR
If you thought the Nissan GTR, Tokyo's fastest and quickest super tuner, couldn't get any faster, well, think again!! The all new 2012 GTR is on display at the LA Auto Show starting this Friday and its already pleasing the crowd. The old one had 485 horsepower. Nissan managed add an extra 45 horsepower to the new one giving it a grand total of 530 horsepower. This new one is also sensationally quick. The old GTR went from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.2 seconds. This one, with its 530 horsepower Twin-Turbocharged 3.7-liter V6 engine and all-wheel drive system, will get from 0 to 60 MPH in a Nissan-claimed "under-3-seconds" time. With this in mind, it is quite possible that this Japanese Godzilla (GTR's nickname) has enough power, aerodynamics, and traction to hit the 200 MPH mark. We'll just have to wait and see. In terms of design, there isn't a lot of change except for new front and rear bumpers, a new larger grille, new LED daytime running lights, and new rims. There is also one more change in design. In order to distinguish the new, more powerful engine from the old one, Nissan has lined the engine cover with an aggressive red finish to signify that it's a new engine.

The new GTR will be a little bit more expensive than the old one with prices starting at $89,950. With that amount of money, I hope you are able to tame this massive Japanese monster!
