Crickey it's the Rozzers!

Richard as a Baddie in a Rolls-Royce Ghost
Top Gear UK Fans rejoice! Another thrilling episode of Top Gear UK is on tonight at 9 p.m. on BBC America. This time, the guys head to Albania to test out three super-expensive luxury sedans: the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, the Rolls-Royce Ghost, and the Bentley Mulsanne, well when I say the Bentley Mulsanne, I mean a Yugo. You'll see what I'm taking about when you watch it tonight. Then the guys discuss Ferrari's newest creation, the Ferrari FF, which they think looks absolutely fantastic because it brings back the great design that was the shooting brake. Then, Clarkson tests out three high-performance hatchbacks: the Ford Focus RS500, the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400, and the Volvo C30 PCP Polestar, all of which you can't even own. Then, British talk show host Jonathan Ross comes back to Top Gear to set a lap in the Kia Cee'D. It should be one exciting episode. Tune in tonight to see all of the action.

Ferrari, being Gracious?

2011 Ferrari F150th Italia
That's the new name now. It seems Ferrari has honored the Ford F-150 and were deeply apologetic for using the name without asking. This is coming from a company that will do anything to go against putting turbo-4 engines in their F1 cars, set by the FIA themselves. Anyway, it's good to see Ferrari show respect to one of most endured names in American motoring.

F150 Settlement

2011 Ferrari F150
vs.

2011 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition
When Ferrari unveiled their new F1 racing machine, it seems that everyone was very pleased with it, except Ford; not because of the design, look, power, or speed, but because of the name: F150. As you know, this name belonged to their truck, the F-150, for more than 30 years. So, using a legendary name like that on a seriously fast race car is sort of disrespectful, in Ford's terms, that is. So what are they going to do? They're going to take it to court, of course. This should be somewhat interesting seeing an American brand go up against the most exclusive brand in Europe and the world for trademark rights.

Dirt Dinosaur

2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
Now we know that the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is the most rugged and exciting Sport Utility Truck ever created. This is all thanks to it's rugged ride, it's off-road tires, it's dune-like body, it's 6.2-liter 411 horsepower V8 engine, it's high ride height, and it's cool-looking presence. Any owner of an SVT Raptor will write you up and tell you that it is a very exciting truck. Take for instance Vaughn Gittin Jr., current Formula Drift Champion and a profound member of Team Need For Speed. He took one of these out for a spin in the dunes just outside Las Vegas to see if it truly was an exciting piece of machinery. He was impressed. He along with a local magazine known as Wrecked had loads of fun filming and dirt drifting with this truck. Check out the fun stuff they did in the video below.

Drift Cats

2011 Ford Fiesta MWRT #43
What do you get when you mix slippery floors, some rally racing sounds, and some cats? You get drift cats! A YouTube user thought it would be nice to compile a video showing some cats doing some professional race car drifting on some slippery floors. This is probably the funniest video I've ever seen. Check it out below.

World of Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson
Life is swell if you are a Jeremy Clarkson. First off, you're the most offensive person on the face of the earth and there's nothing anyone else can do about it. That must feel great. You can totally diss a religion, have them get angry at you, and do absolutely nothing about it. That's awesome! Next, you have a pretty awesome car collection including a Ford GT, an Aston Martin DBS, an Austin-Healey Sprite, a Caterham Seven R400, and many more. Then, you're the host of a popular motoring show known as Top Gear that's worth over $10 billion and is watch by over 350,000,000 people around the world. You're a very popular guy. And now, you've got an iPhone app on the AppStore with your name on it called iClarkson, showcasing your best car reviews from the Audi R8 to the Maserati Quattroporte. It costs $7.99 and you can get it now on the AppStore. Then again, if you are a Jeremy Clarkson, you've always been fond of the iPhone, as I will prove below with some videos.

From Dweeby to Toughie

2011 Caterham-Lola SP/300.R
If you know Caterham, then you know that they're famous for making small, extremely fast cars like the CSR 260 and the Superlight R500. These were incredibly light and were only driven by road-racing dweebs. Well now, Caterham has gone from making dweeby sports cars to full-fledged race cars. This is the Caterham-Lola SP/300.R. It has the same engine as any Caterham: a 2.0-liter Supercharged Ford Duratec 4-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower. But, since it's much wider and much lighter (1,323 lbs.) , 0 to 60 is done in 2.5 seconds! That's as fast as a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The top speed, however is only up to 170 MPH. If it had more power, it would be doing 230 MPH instantly. But, Caterham don't make cars for speed. They make cars for tracks. This road-ready track racer was initially built for their one-make racing series starting this year, but a street-legal variant is already in the works. To get your own, fly all the way to Britain with a £60,000 check in your pocket made out to Caterham Motors. Make sure you're first in line as well, becuase only 25 will be made.

A New Electric Focus

2012 Ford Focus Electric
Electric cars are all the rage these days, and it seems like Ford has joined the fray with their all-electric Focus. Debutting in Las Vegas at the CES 2011 (Computer Electronics Show), this new Focus is powered by energy-efficient lithium-ion batteries. Ford hasn't revealed to us the power output yet, but they did say that this car's top speed is 84 MPH and has the same EPA mileage rating of the Chevy Volt. Charging the battery only takes about 3-4 hours, half as much time as the Nissan Leaf. The car also features a new interior with new stitchings and a new dashboard with details and specs about your car. The Focus Electric is also MyFord optimized. MyFord is a new system developed hand-in-hand with MapQuest giving you the ability to unlock and lock doors from anywhere in the world. You can also locate your car via MapQuest from anywhere in the world. This app will be available on Blackberries, Androids, and iPhones everywhere. With all this new technology coming out, it seems that we have entered the future. No pricing has been revealed for this car, but it will be sold in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Detroit, San Francisco, San Diego, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Tucson, Portland, Raleigh Durham, Richmond, Seattle, and Washington D.C. Check out the video below to see this car in action.

Dodge's Dirt Bully

2011 Dodge Ram Runner
It seems some of our tough trucks are turning into dirt devils these days. First, there was the crazy Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, which is now being used by the U.S. Border Patrol. Now, Dodge has joined the fray with the the Ram Runner. Looks like the Raptor has some competition. First debutting at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Ram Runner features off-road Fox Racing Springs, off-road tires, off-road suspension, a 5-inch lift, new bumpers and hood, sport-tuned exhaust, and a cold-air intake system. In order to achieve this Dirt-devil Dodge, you first have to get your hands on the regular Ram 1500 for about $29,075. Then take it to Mopar Performance. They'll do all of this for about $21,000. In the end, the Ram Runner will cost a hefty $50,000, making it somewhat expensive. But, once all the customization is done, You'll enjoy your dirt-smashing Bull.

Boss of the Resarch Foundation

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca Grabber Blue

This Boss is a very special Boss. You see the Boss Laguna Seca is available in orange, black/red, and blue/white. However, it has never and will never be available in Grabber Blue. This special One-off Mustang will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson this month, and the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help with their research in fighting diabetes.
"Since this Boss Mustang will have a very low production number and be specially built for our 40th anniversary event, the new owner will have a special piece of performance history for their collection." - Steve Davis, President of Barrett-Jackson
The color may be special, but this car is still a Boss. Its new 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 440 horsepower and is connected to a 6-speed Recaro Manual Transmission. 0 to 60 is done in 4.4 seconds and it will reach a top speed of over 170 MPH. Its currently one of the fastest cars to go round the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway thrashing the time set by the BMW M3. So, if you're a Mustang fan that has a lot of money and wants his own piece of history, head on down to Barrett-Jackson to place your bet on this awesome blue Boss.

King Camaro

2011 Chevy Camaro SS
What you thought was just an observation has finally become a reality: the all-new Camaro has become top Pony Car outselling the new 2011 Mustang. When the Camaro was first produced in the 1960's, it only made half as much of the sales the Mustang was making. The Mustang made about half a million sales in its first four years. The Camaro couldn't even reach that. The Mustang went on to star in movies like Bullet, Starsky & Hutch, Milk, and the re-boot of Knight Rider. The Camaro got one role in Love Joy, and I forgot what it was. Now, if you see a Camaro, you might think it looks similar to the one driven by a man by the name of Sam Whitwicky that can turn into a robot and destroy helicopters with its blasters. Transformers really did it for this car. It helped the Camaro achieve worldwide fame. Not to mention it looks much cooler, handles much better, and is one of the cheapest cars you can get on the market. In 2010, Chevy sold 81,371 Camaros in the U.S. alone. Ford only sold 73,716 Mustangs. That's a margin of 7,655. Well done, Chevy!

DC Rapid Fire!

Ken Block with Gymkhana Fiesta
Life does get rough if you're the Owner, CEO, and Official Rally Driver of a shoe company. Luckily, if you're Ken Block, things tend to get easy as life goes by. Just recently, Mr. Block was in France giving rides to popular extreme surfers and BMX bikers involving him doing what he does best, Gymkhana. He did give a girl a ride, although she did scream the whole time. Ken doesn't mind giving demos to people. He did the same thing for James May when he had the old Subaru Impreza. Anyway, check out the video below to see what madness Ken Block with French people.

New Year = New Cars

2011
Well, Christmas is here and the new year is upon us, which means it's time to make changes with our lives and the world. Out with the old, in with the new, and in this case, new cars. 2011 is coming and it's bringing an array of fancy new wheels with it. Here are some of them.

2011 McLaren MP4-12C
1. 2011 McLaren MP4-12C
McLaren is back after it's hiatus with the F1. Now, they're releasing this swoopy, Twin-Turbocharged 600 horsepower V8 supercar aiming for Ferrari and Lamborghini. McLaren are already certain that this car will go over 200 MPH. It's already received praise from Jay Leno and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. I like it, too because it looks as good as it handles. Let's see how well it will do next year.

2011 Chevy Camaro SS Convertible
2. 2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible
After months of anticipation, the Camaro finally takes its top off. New for 2011, the Camaro Convertible comes with all the perks of the regular hardtop coupe, but with no top. You still get the same engines, including the new 312 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 base engine. Prices start at $29,150, but if I were you, I'd pay extra to hear a growling 426 horsepower V8 under the hood.

2012 Nissan GT-R

3. 2012 Nissan GT-R
Next summer, Godzilla returns with more power and more insanity. It's all new 523 horsepower Twin-Turbocharged 3.7-liter V6 engine gets the monster from 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds. With that much power and acceleration, who knows? The GT-R could just about pass the 200 MPH mark. This is one crazy Japanese import!

2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible
4. 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible
This luxurious and sporty convertible returns with sexier looks and bigger engine. It now uses the same Twin-Turbocharged 400 horsepower V8 that you get in the 750i sedan. You will feel this power as you accelerate from 0 to 60 in less than 5 seconds. Another fast thing about this car is its folding roof which opens in 19 seconds and closes in just 24 seconds. Look for this car next summer with a big price tag and its top down.

2012 VW Golf R
5. 2012 VW Golf R
Finally! This turbo-nutting Golf is making its way to our shores WITH its 270 horsepower 2.0-liter Turbocharged Inline-4. Accompanied with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual or DSG transmission, this Golf will accelerate from 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds on its way to a limited top speed of 155 MPH. It will be available in 3-door or 5-door variants. Any way or another, this is one cool Golf.

2012 Ford Mustang BOSS 302 Laguna Seca
6. 2012 Ford Mustang
Since 2010, the Mustang has gotten better, adding more power, better styling, and better performance. New 2012, the mighty Mustang GT gets a new lower price tag of just under $30,000 to make room for this massive muscle: the BOSS 302. Coming next Spring, it will be available in regular or Laguna Seca variants starting at $44,000. This is definitely ideal money because this car was able to beat a top Laguna Seca lap time held by the BMW M3 E92.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster (Courtesy of Road & Track)
7. 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster
We've seen the SLS reveal itself earlier this year. Now it's time for it to take the top down for next summer. The car will still feature its 6.2-liter 563 horsepower V8 engine from the regular coupe, but since most convertibles are heavier than the regular coupe models, it might reach 60 MPH from 0 in a slower time. No matter. Convertibles are always more sexier than coupes.

2012 Ferrari 458 Spider (Courtesy of teamspeed.com)
8. 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider
This might just be a rendering, but rest assured Ferrari does plan to release a top-down version of their sexiest Ferrari, the 458, next summer. It might be slightly heavier than the original, but it will still feature its 562 horsepower Ferrari V8 engine so you can hear the harmonious engine more clearly.

2012 Ford Focus ST
9. 2012 Ford Focus ST
Since its birth, the Focus ST has always been in Europe. Now, Ford has come to its senses and have planned to bring the Turbo-hatch over to our shores. The new Focus ST will feature a 2.0-liter Turbocharged Inline-4 engine connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. 247 horsepower will power the front wheels of this car. This is just a first move of the many changes Ford has planned for the company. What's next? A Focus RS?

2011 Dodge Durango
10. 2011 Dodge Durango
The Durango is back and better than ever. Based off the platform of the all new Jeep Grand Cherokee, the all new Durango features better styling and more sportier looks. It looks more like sporty wagon than an SUV if you ask me. Under the hood is the traditional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 370 horsepower making it very powerful for a very heavy SUV. Look for this SUV in the showrooms in a couple months.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
11. 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
In 2005, Mercedes-Benz invented the 4-door coupe by bringing in the CLS. Now, for 2011, it's back with more power, sexier looks, and more technology. Its all new 5.5-liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 engine producing 402 horsepower projects the car from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds making it very fast. When it comes out, it will be the first car ever made to offer full LED lighting for all of its dynamic lighting functions. In fact, there's 71 LED lights all around the car making it very energy saving. Not mention, it looks much sexier now than it did before. Look for this coupe next summer.

So, there's your list of cars coming out next year. Let's start the waiting...NOW!

Gymkhana Christmas

Ken Block #43 Ford Fiesta R/C Car
Just in time for Christmas, Gymkhana master Ken Block has released a miniature version of his super-fast Ford Fiesta Gymkhana for young drivers. Traxxas, a Remote-Control car company, helped develop the body, suspension, wheels, and motors for this car. It will go very, very fast, so make sure your kid is careful when driving one of these. You can get one now at Traxxas for about $300. Once you do, who knows. Your child could be the next big thing in Rally and Gymkhana racing.

Personalization Requires Focus

2012 Ford Focus
Some of us express our creative nature through skin-work known as tattoos. Ford plans to expand on that with their new Tattoo program that their bringing to the all new 2012 Focus. The special vinyl that you see above you is made from 3M ScotchPrint Film and professionally done by Ford themselves. There will be over 200 designs to choose from varying from $120 to $470. Sounds cool, huh? Basic research helped Ford develop this new idea. As it turns out, 40% of Millennials (people born between 1980 and 1985) have a tattoo. KC Dallia, Ford Sales Manager explains why they use the facts of Millennials for this new tattooed Focus.

"Millennials have a very personalized, artistic side to their lifestyle, and their vehicle is a very important part of that. With its striking front end, sleek profile, dramatic rising beltline and athletic stance, the Focus provides the perfect canvas for customization." - KC Dallia, Ford Sales Manager

So, when this program begins, there will be no such thing as an identical Focus. I have more pics if you don't get what I mean.

The Mustang Has Met It's Match...

2010 Chevy Camaro SS
...and you're looking at it. Ever since 1965, the Ford Mustang has been king pony car. Now, in 2010, it seems Ford is getting desperate. Chevy has already released the convertible Camaro and the massive Supercharged Z28 Camaro is coming next year. So, with all these Camaros coming out, it looks like it might just outsell the Mustang, according to Ford that is. They aren't worried though, and they shouldn't be. The BOSS Mustang is making headway this year and the GT will start at a much cheaper price starting this spring. So as for now, it's still a Pony Car Battle!

One Serious Off-Roader

2012 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept
GMC is known for making the world's toughest trucks, SUVs, and Crossovers. They are known at being "Professional Grade" at whatever they do. When I saw this pic, I knew for sure that they were widening the gap in American Toughness. This is the 2012 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept. From the face of it, you really can't tell that it's a Sierra. But, from the rear,

Rear View
you may spot the common Sierra tail lamps. This truck looks absolutely rugged. Look at those tires! I bet this truck could handle just about anything. In fact, the Sierra's twin brother, the Chevy Silverado HD just won the Motor Trend Truck of the year for it's levels of toughness. But anyway, under the hood of this tough beast is a 6.6-liter Duramax Diesel V8 engine producing 397 horsepower with a catastrophic 756 lb.-ft. of torque! This truck could bump start a Boeing 747! This engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission sending power to all 4 rugged wheels. The wheels themselves are 20-inches. The tires are heavy-duty 35-inch BFGoodrich KM2 Mud Terrain Tires. This truck could even compete with the popular SVT Raptor thanks to it's Fox Racing off-road shocks. This truck remains a concept model, but may lead to a redesigned GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. Look for this truck to make it's debut next month in Detroit at the North American Auto Show.
