2012 Nissan GT-R

530 horsepower. 3.8-liter Twin-Turbocharged V6 engine. 0 to 60 MPH in 2.9 seconds! This is by far the sickest Japanese import ever created. It looks like the Lexus LFA's reign as the Tokyo King of Speed will be short lived as Nissan throws in some muscle with the all new GT-R. Car magazines were recently invited to a showing of the GT-R's all new Launch Control System. There's nothing else to say about it except, if you do buy the new GT-R, make sure you hang on for dear life. Watch Godzilla take off in the video below.

2012 Nissan GT-R

For more than 50 years, the Nissan Skyline GT-R has been crowned the Tokyo King of Speed with top speeds ranging from 135 to 193 MPH. But now, in 2011, it seems that the mighty Godzilla has finally met its match, from Toyota.

2011 Lexus LFA

You all know what this car is. It's the all-new Lexus LFA, and even though it has a V10 engine under the hood and is made from exotic material, it's still Japanese and worthy enough to take the crown as the new Tokyo King of Speed. It doesn't accelerate as fast as the GT-R with a 0 to 60 time of 3.5 seconds compared to 2.9 seconds, but since it is lighter and has a V10 engine with over 550 horsepower, it will reach 200 MPH with ease while the Nissan is still stuck at 197 MPH. The LFA also sounds a lot better and handles more easily than the GT-R. But the biggest difference by a country mile is the price. While the GT-R stands at a steady $90,000, the LFA costs a whopping $375,000. That's more than 4 times the price. But, if you really are a man of speed, money is irrelevant to you. The car is what's important.

Godzilla Race Car

2011 Nismo GT-R Race Car

The Tokyo Auto Salon (Tokyo's SEMA) was on last weekend showcasing some really tuned up Imports from various tuners. Nismo was there to show-off a hardcore racing version of the GT-R. The power has not been increased, but the car itself has been modded with racing suspension, lighter parts, racing wheels & tires, and a roll cage. No word on if this car will enter any FIA races, but there is a possibility of a one-make challenge series involving this car.

Real Racing 2 Shenanigans Part 3

2010 Nissan GTR

More shenanigans in the world of Real Racing 2. It's been rated as one of the best racing games on the iPhone. There was even a review which stated that this game could compete against Gran Turismo. That is a big honor for those Australian dudes at Firemint who worked hard producing this. Anyway, I've moved up in the Real Racing world and bought a Japanese monster from Nissan. Its Twin-Turbocharged 3.7-liter V6 produces 485 horsepower and will do 0 to 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds. Flat out, it will do 194 MPH making it pretty impressive for a grippy Japanese car.
